Good And Healthy Eating Habits Are Easy To Implement With This Overview

Are good and healthy eating habits a smart investment on life? It sure is! Good and healthy eating habits are the way to live a happier, healthier and longer life.

It's not always easy to eat what you know you should. It is sometimes harder to NOT eat the foods you know you should not. Let's take a look at what good and healthy eating habits are about.

Good And Healthy Eating Habits:

*Fill up your cup with good ol' water. Drink between 64 and 100 oz of water a day. Men need to consume a larger amount than women. When you exercise, you should factor extra water to replenish what was lost during your workout. Water keeps you hydrated, sustains energy and focus, and flushes out toxins.

*Eat seafood and fish at least twice a week. Fish and seafood have omegas that are necessary for proper brain function. Omegas also improve hair and skin.

*Eat meat in moderation. Meat contains protein and other healthful vitamins, such as iron and B12. But, most meats today are processed and have added chemicals. Amino acids are found in meat and are essential because the body does not produce them.

*Load up on legumes. Legumes are foods such as peas, beans, lentils, carob, soybeans, and peanuts. These little protein packed foods are a good source of fiber too. They will help keep you feeling full longer and manage cravings.

*Colorful vegetables. The greener the vegetable or leaf, the more nutrients are packed in. Vegetables build the blood and help carry oxygen to the brain. They are very healthy for the heart and controlling cholesterol levels.

*Fruity fruits. Sweet, juicy and delicious. Fruits and berries consist of antioxidants and other vitamins and minerals. Fruits help cells to regenerate and offer protection from diseases.

*Chia seeds are becoming more popular as a topping for smoothies, yogurt and salads. Chia seeds are bursting with protein and have all three omegas. They keep you hydrated since they can hold 10 times their weight in water.

*Sprouts are a lively bunch. Sprouts are jam packed with vitamins and minerals. Seeds that are sprouted have around 200% more nutrients than the food that is grown from them. Sprout examples are; mung beans, alfalfa, broccoli, adzuki beans, wheat, lentil, sunflower seeds, watercress, etc. They give off immediate sustainable energy.

*Use only unsaturated fats such as olive oil, avocado oil, peanut oil, and canola oil.
